This morning, writing a scene not conscious at all

This morning, writing a scene not conscious at all where it's heading, knowing only barely a sentence ahead, and I begin to wonder if I should even be writing it. Perhaps it is just me being indulgent? Is it moving the story along? I have my doubts. Morghan says this, Catrin says that, sure, uh huh, but is this going anywhere?
I decide to write it just a little longer. After all, I can always delete the whole thing later, if it doesn't pull its weight.
Then, I get a flash of what comes next, in the next paragraph, the rest of the scene.
And I see that amazingly, there's a key piece of information about to come out, the piece I needed, and had no idea of, to begin making sense of another event going on in the Grove.
I have to stop writing, get up, move around. My mind is about to explode.

This morning, the dawn was so beautiful that I left the house to walk under the rising sun and cloudy skies. A double rainbow graced the blue dome overhead, and I wandered down the path and along the beach, taking the opportunity to walk and reconnect with my kin.
My life is an ongoing conversation between spirit and myself, but sometimes it's good to take the time to give that conversation your whole attention.
No writing done today, but I feel refreshed.

It's always hard to get back into a routine after

It's always hard to get back into a routine after a week or two away, and writing is no different. But it was time, and I spent a morning looking things over, then got up to make a cup of tea, and the thought hit me:
What if it was that character, not a stranger, who found The Important and Mysterious Thing ?
I stopped and stood still in the middle of the room, staring into my imagination.
Yes, what if it was? Now, wouldn't that just put the cat among the pigeons?
The next morning, I sat down and wrote the scene.
This morning, I sat down and wrote what came naturally as a consequence.
And may I just say, as a complete aside, that I had no idea Morghan was such a master of the perfect come-back line.

Little in the way of writing this week as other matters are attended to. I did, however, copy into my beautiful Grove Keeper's journal one of Erin's prayers.
I get lots of wonderful emails and messages from readers saying what a difference the Wilde Grove books have made to them, but I want to tell you: they've made a difference to my life too. I'm more thoughtful, patient, compassionate, and brave.

I took some time out yesterday, and that's exactly what happened: time dissolved away for a while and there was just me in the comfy chair by the window, the sun streaming in, and a good book to read. It was wonderful, and there was peace inside and outside of me.
